This position does not have access to critical infrastructure in accordance with the Governor¿s executive order GA-48.

Job Duties

This position oversees human resources operations for the Office of the Inspector General (OIG) and serves as the primary HR contact for OIG employees. Responsibilities include assisting employees with questions related to time reporting, leave, pay, benefits, and other employment matters.

The position coordinates personnel actions, employee leave, Family and Medical Leave (FML), workers' compensation claims, employee disciplinary actions, and the selection and hiring process for OIG positions, including processing employment actions through applicable HR systems. Additional duties include maintaining personnel files and HR records, processing employee time, and responding to employee inquiries.

You have 4 years of experience in customer service, human resources, clerical, secretarial, administrative support, public administration, financial operations, auditing or technical program support.

Are organized and detail oriented.

Good at problem solving and dispute resolution.

You'd Be a GREAT Fit If

You have a degree in Human Resources Management.

You have a strong understanding of human resources.

You have knowledge of Texas Commission on Law Enforcement (TCOLE) rules, regulations, and employment requirements applicable to a law enforcement agency.
