Leading the IG Profession Forward
AIG’s board of directors leads strategic direction and oversight within the organization. Composed of elected IG professionals from diverse jurisdictions, the board ensures integrity, professionalism, and impact across the association.
Board members are elected by AIG members through a formal nomination and voting process. Positions rotate on staggered terms to ensure continuity and leadership diversity. Officer roles are selected by the board and governed under AIG’s bylaws.

January 15 – Nomination period for upcoming board seats begins.

Candidate Review
February – Nominees are vetted and reviewed by Governance Committee.

Election Voting
March 1–10 – Members vote electronically via secure ballot system.
4.
Terms Begin
April 1 – Elected board members assume their responsibilities.
