Maintaining Your CIG®, CIGA®, CIGI® and CIGE® Status

At its annual meeting in October 2013 in New Orleans, the Association’s Board of Directors adopted a new policy regarding maintaining certifications for the Certified Inspector General® (CIG), Certified Inspector General Auditor® (CIGA), and Certified Inspector General Investigator® (CIGI). In order to keep your certification in “active” status, you must be a member of the AIG and also verify the completion of 40 Continuing Professional Education credits every two years. (NOTE: This policy also applies to certification for Certified Inspector General Inspector/Evaluator® (CIGE).
