Award of CPE Credits

In addition to earning certification for successfully completing the Institute, attendees will receive Continuing Professional Education credits (CPEs) for each hour of instruction. The following information pertains to the issuance of CPE credits in conjunction with the Institute.

nasba_logoThe Association of Inspectors General is registered with the National Association of State Boards of Accountancy (NASBA), as a sponsor of continuing professional education on the National Registry of CPE Sponsors. State boards of accountancy have final authority on the acceptance of individual courses for CPE credit. Instructional Delivery Method – Group Live

CPEs and Fields of Study – Institute attendees can earn up to 36 CPE credits in: Government Accounting, Government Auditing, Auditing, Behavioral Ethics, Business Law, Communications, Regulatory Ethics, and Specialized Knowledge and Applications.

Prerequisites – All attendees must submit applications and meet all education and experience requirements as set forth in the AIG Eligibility Criteria for the specific certification course.

Advanced preparation – None. It is recommended that attendees review the Association’s “Green Book” Principles and Standards for Offices of Inspectors General.
