The City of Olympia seeks proposals from independent consultants for the role of Civilian Police Auditor. This is a contracted consultancy position responsible for providing independent oversight to ensure accountability and transparency in Olympia Police Department investigations related to misconduct and use of force.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct or oversee independent investigations of use of force incidents.

• Audit OPD’s use of force incidents and complaint processes.

• Collaborate with the Community Policing Board on reports and recommendations.

• Host and attend public forums to engage the community on oversight.

• Submit annual reports summarizing findings and recommendations.

• Communicate regularly with OPD and city officials to ensure accountability.

Submission Deadline: January 9, 2025, 5:00 PM PT

Budget: $100,000–$120,000 annually
