Audit Supervisor

The Office of Inspector General (OIG) for the Department of Healthcare and Family Services (HFS) seeks a highly capable and experienced professional to serve as Audit Supervisor to oversee medical coding audits. In this capacity, the Audit Supervisor will provide technical guidance to the auditors, make determinations on audit accuracy based upon coding principles and guidelines in the procedural Current Procedural Terminology for physician services, review physician documentation to ensure proper code assignment, and provide feedback to the auditor, the physician, and management of discrepancies. This candidate will also be responsible for reviewing data to determine trends and make recommendations for future audits. The ideal candidate will demonstrate problem-solving skills to address coding related task of high complexity, exercise sound judgment in the identification of priorities, to work collaboratively with internal and external partners, proactively address issues, and to ensure timely completion of all work. The candidate will exhibit strong leadership skills to achieve set goals while demonstrating independent initiative. Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential to be successful in this role.
