Registration for the World Trade Center site tour is now closed.
Conference attendees have been invited to take a tour of the World Trade Center (WTC) site to view the redevelopment that is occurring.
For registrants, buses will be provided to transport the attendees from the Marriott Hotel to the WTC site. For those wishing to return to the hotel following the tour, the buses will transport them back to the hotel. Otherwise, attendees are free to explore NYC after the tour and return to the hotel on their own.
There will be two types of tours.
- The first will be one from 57 stories above the WTC site in 7 WTC. They will get a Birdseye view of the site and be provided a short lecture and update on the progress of the redevelopment projects.
- The second tour will be an opportunity to visit the actual construction sites. Those who are interested in this tour must have “sturdy leather shoes”. No heels or open toe shoes are permitted. Attendees will be outfitted with a hard hat, safety glasses and safety vest.
Attendees must register for either tour beforehand. Depending upon the number of persons interested, there might be a cut off and eligibility will be on a “first register, first visit” basis.
